The idea behind this global ID is to build a tool that will be able to let operations track players who use the same email across different brands within the same Celesta domain.
This feature will assign each player a unique ID = global ID, allowing for a consistent view of their activity across all domains.
1) How does the Global ID work?
When a player creates an account on a brand, the Celesta system checks if the email is already in use:
- If the email is already used, the system assigns the same Global_ID as the existing player to the new account.
- If the email is not used, the system assigns a new Global_ID, the same as the unique Player_ID.
2) Use of the Global ID
It can be used for different reasons based on your operational needs, including, but not limited to:
- Marketing: track how much a player spends per brand and adjust retention strategies based on the average amount spent.
- VIP Team: need to know if a player has different VIP levels across brands (e.g., VIP in Brand A but not in Brand B) and may manually adjust the player's VIP status.
- Fraud & Payment Team: investigate why a player is locked in Brand A but not in Brand B.
